Victim identified in fatal wreck on I-10 in Harrison County

On Sunday, May 26, 2024, at approximately 5 p.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash on Interstate 10 in Harrison County.

A 2015 Harley-Davidson operated by 39-year-old Roy Dale Holden Jr. of Denham Springs, LA, and a 16-year-old passenger were traveling east on Interstate 10 when the passenger fell from the moving motorcycle.

A 2009 Harley-Davidson operated by 43-year-old Amanda Holden, and the wife of Roy Holden, traveled east on Interstate 10 when she and two other motorcycles took evasive actions to avoid hitting the passenger and crashed.

Two people were transported via ambulance from the scene while two others were airlifted. Amanda Holden received fatal injuries as a result of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
