Victim identified in fatal pedestrian involved accident in Pascagoula

Pascagoula Police Department reports that first responders are on the scene of a traffic accident at the intersection of Old Mobile Hwy. and Market St.

Officials tell News 25 that a pedestrian using a wheelchair was struck and killed by a debris truck. According to Jackson County Coroner Bruce Lind Jr., the victim has been identified as 61-year-old Jackie Davis of Pascagoula.

Market St. is closed from this intersection heading North to Hwy. 90.

Drivers are asked to avoid this area so first responders can work to provide first aid and/or clear the scene.
