Victim identified in deadly I-10 crash in Harrison County
The victim in the deadly I-10 crash in Harrison County on Monday has been identified.
Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer said 24-year-old Jaelan Baker of Fayetteville, North Carolina died when his pickup truck crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer in the eastbound lanes of I-10 at the 23-mile marker.
Switzer said Baker died of blunt force trauma.
Baker was traveling from Louisiana to North Carolina. His father-in-law had recently died and Baker was bring some things home when the crash occurred.
Baker’s wife is deployed to Korea. She had just returned to her unit after being home for her father’s funeral.
