Victim identified in deadly crash on South Swan Rd in Gulfport

A singular vehicle crash on South Swan Rd and Highway 49 in Gulfport has left one person dead.

Harrison County Coroner, Brian Switzer, has identified the victim as 58 year old Steven Johnson of Saucier.

It was around 7:09 PM Wednesday night when Gulfport PD and Harrison County Fire and Rescue responded to the scene in Gulfport. Officials say Johnson lost control of his vehicle before driving off the roadway and into the woods. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Johnson was alone in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
