Veterans Have Flight of a Lifetime

Four U.S. Military Veterans took a flight down memory lane this morning.
Thanks to the Ageless Aviation Dreams Foundation, World War II veterans from the Armed Forces Retirement Home flew in a restored 1940s Boeing-Stearman.
Their faces lit up when they returned to the ground in Gulfport after a 20 minute flight along the Gulf Coast.
Ageless Aviation began the flights back in 2011 and the reactions from the veterans make it all worth it. U.S. Air Force Veteran John Oyster said, “It’s unbelievable that something like this is being done for us. I can’t thank people enough, but they just seem to say well it’s our pleasure to do it. It’s our honor to have them treat us as if we were somebody important.”
Through many donors, the foundation provides dream flights in the Stearman biplane, the same aircraft used to train many U.S. military aviators in the late 30s and early 40s.
