Veterans Day Remembrance Ceremony at Memorial Hospital

Today, many people gathered outside of Memorial Hospital in Gulfport to thank those who have served.

Memorial Main Campus in Gulfport and Memorial at Stone County both held Veterans Day Remembrance ceremonies in recognition of veterans and their service to our country.

Gulfport High School Madrigals performed the national anthem and other patriotic songs while Gulfport ROTC color guard presented the colors. Memorial Senior Director of Information Systems Ron Hedges said, “This is an important day for veterans when the country calls, it’s the veterans that answer that call. So, this is one day a year where we get to show our appreciation to those veterans.”

In partnership with the Veterans Administration, Memorial also collected items to benefit homeless veterans in the community.
