Veterans Day Program Long Beach Middle School
Long Beach middle schoolers celebrated Veterans Day early with their annual Veterans Day program.
The student council welcomed veterans inside the school for an hour long tribute to their service. Both the band and choir performed and members of each branch in the military were honored.
Students also presented a $1,200 check to the Veterans Community Center in Biloxi which will go towards recreational activities that have been eliminated from lack of funding.
Student Council Vice President Justin Rolison said, “They all look really happy that somebody’s recognizing their service and they all clap and stand up.”
Student Council President Jack McDonald said, “It just feels great because we get to see who all fought in these wars and we get to see the faces of the war.”
This is the sixth year Long Beach Middle School has hosted the Veterans Day program.
