Vessel safety checks in Pascagoula for National Safe Boating Week

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WXXV)- The City of Pascagoula presented a proclamation to the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.

The Coast Guard Auxiliary will be offering vessel safety checks on May 24 at the Point Park Launch Ramp.

Those checks begin at 8 a.m. and help boat owners ensure their vessels are compliant with both federal and state boating safety requirements.

This is in anticipation of the upcoming boating season.
