Vancleave Softball wins rubber match 3-0 to advance to Round Two of Playoffs!

It was a do or die Monday night for the Vancleave Bulldogs softball team as they hosted North Pike for game three of the first round of playoffs. The Bulldog defense retired the first three batters in order to bring up the bats. Freshman leadoff Jayda Ferrell reaches on a single off of the third baseman, and Sophomore Hadleigh Howell sends it the exact same spot, scoring Ferrell all the way home.

Ferrell’s run would be the first and only run until the bottom of the sixth inning where Vancleave tacked on two more runs. Vancleave softball is headed to Round Two with a final score of 3-0!
Talk about bouncing back after losing game one. The Lady Bulldogs will now head to Sumrall high school this Thursday to begin round two. Congratulations, Vancleave softball!
