Vancleave man sixth suspect charged in 2023 shooting in Latimer

A Vancleave man is in custody, charged in the 2023 shooting in Latimer.

Sheriff John Ledbetter said 44-year-old Ricky Dale Reed is charged with hindering prosecution. Reed’s home was where deputies located Tanisha Chaisson on January 1st.

Reed was arrested Sunday night when Ocean Springs Police stopped his car on Highway 90. He is the sixth suspect arrested in this case.

He also is charged with possession of a controlled substance after officers found meth in his vehicle.

Reed is being held at the Jackson County jail. His initial appearance was Monday afternoon. Bond was set at $10,000 for the hindering prosecution and $25,000 on the drug charge.
