Vancleave man sentenced for sexual battery and exploitation of a child

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- A Vancleave man was sentenced Thursday to four decades behind bars for sexual battery and exploitation of a child.

Thirty-five-year-old Brett Robinson was sentenced to 40 years.

This case took place in 2024, when investigators with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a cellphone with a note.

The investigation led them to find photographs and images involving three minors, all between four to six years-old, on the cellphone.

When confronted, Robinson admitted to sexual abuse.

Robinson will serve the full 40 years without the chance for early release or parole.
