Vancleave man charged with first-degree murder

A Vancleave man is charged with shooting his wife to death in their home over the Labor Day weekend.
Sheriff Mike Ezell says deputies found the body of 40-year-old Nina Olivia Brossett in a bedroom of the house on Jim Ramsey Road early Monday morning, September 5th.
Her husband, 37-year-old Sterling Dugas, is charged with first degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
During his initial court appearance this afternoon, County Court Judge Mark Watts denied bond for Dugas.
The sheriff says an autopsy will be performed on the victim on Thursday.
