Vancleave high school cheer team makes school history with state championship

The Vancleave cheer squad brought home a state championship over the weekend as they competed in the MHSAA state championship competition in Jackson, Mississippi.

The Bulldog cheer squad took home 1st place for 5A, competing in the “Game Day” category against 12 other schools.

State championships may be an expectation for certain schools and sports here on the Coast, but for Vancleave this is the first cheer state championship in school history. A big congratulations to their cheer squad for putting their name in the record books.
