Vancleave, East Central win big at Junior High-Junior Varsity Wrestling Championships

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV) — Ocean Springs hosted the Junior High-Junior Varsity Wrestling Championships on Saturday, and local teams took home the hardware!

On the junior high side, Vancleave won the championship title, and Ocean Springs was the runner-up.

East Central won the junior varsity championship, with Ocean Springs placing second in that division as well.

Additionally, Vancleave’s Conner Dronet was named the junior varsity most valuable wrestler, and East Central’s Tyler Newhard was named the junior high most valuable wrestler.
