Utility rate increase in Ocean Springs
In Ocean Springs, the utility rate has increased following the expiration of previous contracts.
The previous contracts for garbage and recycling services ended in January 2023 and Waste Pro was selected to be the new provider in the fall of 2023.
An adjustment in utility rates was required, addressing an increase in contractual services and operating costs.
The new monthly rate started in February 2024 and is $31.50 per customer. The annual increase is set at 3 percent and started effective October 1 of this year and runs through January 30th, 2030.
