Utility pole down, natural gas leak in Gulfport

Around 8 this morning, Gulfport Fire Department responded to the Bayou Oaks Mobile Home Park to reports of a gas leak.

Upon arrival, they discovered a utility pole down. Center Point Energy was called to clean up the leak. It’s still unclear how the pole fell down.

No vehicles were seen in the area when officials arrived on scene.
