Southern Miss polymer science student recognized with prestigious scholarship
One University of Southern Mississippi polymer science student has been recognized with a prestigious scholarship!
Charles Dalton has been awarded the Goldwater Scholarship for 2024, bringing Southern Miss’ total recipients to a state-leading total of 28.
Dalton is a native of Mandeville, Louisiana and a member of the Southern Miss Honors College.
In the summer of 2023, Dalton conducted research at the Northwestern University in Chicago. He researched the promotion of catalytic degradation of chemical warfare agents.
He continued the work in the Clemons Lab this school year.
