USM hosting Cinema Under the Oaks

The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Park campus invites all to enjoy Halloween early.

They’re hosting a Halloween-themed Cinema Under the Oaks this Friday.

Families are encouraged to join them at the Lloyd Lawn by the Friendship Oak at 6 PM for Trunk-or-Treat and a costume contest.

They will have games and low cost concessions that benefit student organizations.

At 7 PM, Hocus Pocus will be playing right in the park.

“We really want our local community member to be able to come and spend time with us. We want their family to be able to grow up knowing exactly where Gulf Park is, knowing that there’s a space for them here,” said Heather Miller, the academic financial affairs director. “We’re happy to have them. We’re excited to have them come and spend time with us. And also, we want the community to know that we are as invested in them as they are in us.”

The event is free to all guests and is rain or shine.
