USM hosted ‘Experience Business Casually’ event at Gulf Park Campus

The University of Southern Mississippi School of Leadership hosted ‘Experience Business Casually’ at the Gulf Park Campus in Long Beach.

The event featured business leaders who offered guidance in communication, personal branding, financial tips, resume advice, and much more for students.

‘Experience Business Casually’ is designed to help students develop professional skills necessary to transition easily from student to full-time career professional. School of Leadership Director Heather Annulis, Ph.D. said, “We have stations set up where they are learning how to make good eye contact, learn how to shake hands, practice interview skills, communication etiquette, and other success skills that we know will prepare them as they launch into their careers.”

Approximately 60 volunteers were there, representing 20 companies across the area.
