USM Gulf Park offering ‘express enrollment’ event
If you have a graduate who hasn’t applied to college yet, it’s not too late to apply at USM.
The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Park Campus is offering an ‘express enrollment’ event where students can apply, be accepted, and enroll in their classes all on the same day.
Tables will be designated to financial aid, scholarships, and military and veteran services. Accepted students will also be given orientation details.
This is available to people interested in attending the Gulf Park campus and USM is waiving the application fee.
The goal is to offer a quick and painless application process. Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs Jacob Breland said, “Our win is when students win. And so, for us, this means, helping them get through a process, which sometimes can be stressful and ongoing, in one moment. So, it helps us certainly with enrollment, but it helps students pursue whatever their idea of success and their future looks like to them.”
The event is Wednesday, June 7th from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Gulf Park Campus Gulf Coast Library in Long Beach. Participants need to register online at usm.edu/express.
