USM Gulf Park Invites Students for Career Showcase
U.S.M. Gulf Park invited the students for a career showcase, introducing them to the campus and all it has to offer. The students were divided into the six different colleges based on their career interests. They met with faculty members from the different departments and got to experience hands on demonstrations.
Jacob Woltz, a senior at Hancock County High School, says, "It helped me realize that I want to go into the field more and then it gives me a hands-on experience on what I’m actually going to be doing during my program."
Ann Billings, Director of Enrollment Management at U.S.M. Gulf Park, says, "We started last year to increase the awareness of the Gulf Park campus and on the Mississippi Gulf Coast community, and we believe by getting the students on campus, it gives them an opportunity to better understand who we are."
This is the Gulf Park campus’ second annual showcase. They hope to continue this program for years to come.
