USM fills up a truckload for Toys for Tots

Tomorrow starts the countdown to Christmas, so toy drives are happening across the Gulf Coast.

The University of Southern Mississippi hosted its second annual “Stuff the Truck”.

The Gulf Park Health Center invited locals and faculty to help stuff the back of a campus police truck with as many toys as possible.

These toys will go directly to children in Harrison County and toys collected in Hattiesburg will go to children in Forrest County.

This is another way that the university can show support to the community.

Jennifer Larson, office manager for Gulf Park Health Center, said, “So, USM is all about involving our community and we support our local community. This is one of the great ways that we get together with our local police department and our campus as a whole to support of local community.”

The last day to drop off Toys for Tots donations is December 9th.
