USA Baseball reveals 24-man roster for 2018 Collegiate National Team
Southern Miss standout Matt Wallner has made the cut for USA Baseball’s 2018 Collegiate National Team.
He’ll be one of 24 players representing the red, white, and blue when they lead off the 42nd annual USA vs. Japan All-Star Series on July 3rd.
The rising junior will close out his time with the national team at the 7th annual USA vs. Cuba International Friendly Series later that month.
In 2018, Wallner led USM with 16 home runs and 67 RBIs to go along with a pair of All-America selections.
Joining Wallner this summer are some familiar faces from the SEC starting with Parker Caracci of Ole Miss. Representing LSU are Antoine Duplantis, Zack Hess, and Zach Watson, with LSU head man Paul Mainieri serving as the head coach of the national team.
