US 90, sand beaches remain closed following Ida

The Mississippi Department of Transportation has not yet re-opened U.S. 90 following Hurricane Ida.

Conditions on sections of the highway remain hazardous.  Non-official traffic on Highway 90 impedes MDOT’s ability to return the roadway to safe conditions.

Also, the Harrison County Board of Supervisors has not yet reopened beaches in the county.  Currently the Harrison County Sand Beach Department is working to remove debris from the beach and allow for the re-opening as soon as possible.
