Upgrades coming to local USPS facility
Upgrades are coming to a US Postal Service Processing and Distribution Center in Gulfport.
The USPS announced today a $2.3 million investment to transform the site off Corporate Drive into a local processing center with renovations and facility upgrades in the works.
Once the process is complete, postal service leaders say the facility will be able to mail and ship packages, manual letters, as well as express services.
No career employee layoffs are expected as a result of this transition.
It’s all part of the postal service’s 10 year Delivering for American plan to streamline mail service for Americans.
