UPDATE: Wreck leaves one dead in Biloxi

On Monday, October 2, 2023 around 3:04 pm, Biloxi Police Officers responded to the 2600 block of Beach Boulevard in reference to a vehicle crash in a parking lot.

Upon arrival, officers located the deceased victim as a result of the crash.

While on scene, officers were able to determine that 42-year-old Joshua Ray Bullock (Gulfport, Mississippi) was operating a blue Volkswagen Jetta at a high rate of speed in the parking lot, when he lost control and struck a parked vehicle.

At the time of the crash, the victim was attempting to enter the parked vehicle.

Biloxi Motor Officers, Patrol Officers, Crime Scene Investigators, and Criminal Investigators all responded to the scene.

As a result of the incident, Bullock was charged with manslaughter (culpable negligence).

Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain was contacted and he issued a bond of $500,000.

Bullock was later transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center and booked.
