Update in Stone County beating death
Stone County sheriff’s deputies are now treating the death of 41-year-old Andrew Lewis as a murder investigation.
Lewis was found dead on the side of Thelma Andrews Road a short distance from New Hope Road in Stone County on July 21st. Deputies now have evidence indicating Lewis was hit in the head with some type of object at some other location and then left on the road on the outskirts of Wiggins.
Police want to question two unnamed people. Anyone with information should contact the Stone County Sheriff’s Department at 601-928-7251.
