Update on Popps Ferry Road extension

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- Of all the road projects going on around South Mississippi, this could be one of the biggest game changers.

Biloxi is extending Popps Ferry Road from Pass Road down to Highway 90.

The $27 million project will put a new four lane road running west of the Coliseum and coming out at Oakmont Place.

The road will include an entrance to Coliseum grounds near the convention center.

The project will require some unique engineering as it cuts across the Coliseum property near the parking garage.

Biloxi estimates the Popps Ferry Road extension should be complete by late 2026.
