UPDATE: Body found near pier in Waveland identified

WAVELAND, Miss. (WXXV)-The Hancock County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who was found dead in the water Monday night near a Waveland Pier.

Coroner Jeff Hair tells WXXV the man has been identified as 71-year-old John Bickner of Bay St. Louis. Har also confirmed to us that no foul play or suspicious activity is connected to Bickner’s death.

You may recall fisherman near the Garfield Ladner Pier spotted his body floating in the water around 5:15 Monday.
