University of Southern Mississippi awarded $3.8 from Department of Labor

The University of Southern Mississippi is awarded almost $4 million from the U.S. Department of Labor.

This coming after Southern Miss is recognized as having the first registered teacher apprenticeship program in the Magnolia State.

Fifty teacher assistants enrolled for fall 2024 will participate in the first apprenticeship cohort, being joined by another 50 Golden Eagles in the spring term.
