United Way raises $1 million to support local organizations
The United Way of Jackson, George, and Greene County hosted its annual meeting.
United Way raised more than one million dollars to support 17 organizations across the Coast, such as CASA of South Mississippi, the Salvation Army, and various children’s programs.
Attorney General Lynn Fitch was a featured speaker and talked about human trafficking and fentanyl in Mississippi. The Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence receives aid from United Way, and AG Fitch stressed the importance of giving and volunteering during this time.
