United Way Hosts Newk’s Night in Gulfport
The United Way of South Mississippi is increasing their efforts to provide a better education for our children on the Coast. Tonight, Newk’s in Gulfport chipped in to help the cause.
Ten percent of all profits tonight went towards the United Way and their mission to support education.
United Way of South Mississippi is dedicated to ensuring that every child is reading on grade level by the year 2020.
Tonight’s event is to help keep the dream alive. United Way volunteers and employees said they had a great turn out and they are excited to raise all the money for the children of South Mississippi.
This is just one event the United Way is hosting and organizers say they are excited for plans ahead in the next year. Marketing and Communications Director Nicole Misita said, “I just want to thank everyone for coming out to Newk’s in Gulfport tonight and supporting United Way of South Mississippi. It really means a lot to us and will mean a lot to our future children.”
