Roger Wicker wins U.S. Senate Republican nomination

Richard Boyanton faced off against incumbent Roger Wicker for the Republican nomination in the U.S. Senate.

Senator Wicker defeated Boyanton and will go on to run for re-election for his second full term.

News 25 spoke with Senator Wicker today on his thoughts of winning tonight’s primary. “It’s certain that this will be someone who is totally opposed to the agenda that President Trump and Vice President Pence have set forth and set forth and so I think it will be a stark contrast between our Republican Trump agenda.”
