Unit at State Penitentiary at Parchman suffers from roof damage

The State Department of Corrections says a unit at the Mississippi State Penitentiary at Parchman has suffered roof damage.

This damage comes from a storm on Tuesday night. Officials report no injuries to staff or inmates.

Those inmates in the affected zone were relocated to other buildings on the prison grounds.

DOC is working to access the damages and make the repairs.
