Two-Year-Old Shot in the Face in Jackson, Mississippi

Doctors say a toddler will be fine after she was shot in the face inside a Jackson hospital on Wednesday.

The two-year-old girl was with her mother at the hospital when the mother dropped her purse and the gun inside discharged. A bullet hit the vending machine and then ricocheted and grazed the child’s creek. A spokesperson from the hospital said the wound was superficial and the child is expected to be okay. It’s not known if the mother will face charges or why she was at the hospital where weapons are prohibited.
