Two votes separate candidates for Pearl River County Tax Assessor/Collector

The Pearl River County Tax Assessor/ Collector race looks to be heading to a recount.  With 100 percent of precincts reporting, the unofficial results are in.

Sandy Kane Smith has received 2,908 of the votes and Jo Lynn Houston has received 2,906.  Still to be counted are affidavit ballots and absentee ballots that may still come in. Elections are not certified until ten days after the election.
