Two-vehicle crash leaves one dead in Stone County

STONE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- One person is dead after a head-on crash involving a car and a van over the weekend in Stone County.

Officials with Mississippi Highway Patrol’s Troop K tell us 71-year-old James Tillman of Wiggins died at the scene from his injuries.

The crash happened just before 5:30 Friday evening on Highway 26.

Tillman was driving eastbound when he collided with a GMC van.

The driver of the van was taken to an area hospital and the crash remains under investigation.
