Two Percent Restaurant Tax Returns to the Polls in Pascagoula
The major elections may be one week away, but Pascagoula voters are hitting the polls today. Residents will decide whether or not to approve a two percent restaurant tax.
The purpose of this tax is to improve several aspects of the recreational quality of life in Pascagoula, including the repair of baseball and softball fields as well as the completion of a soccer complex.
The initial vote took place back in August. After a poor turnout from voters, the tax fell 40 votes short of going into effect.
