Two people arrested in George County drug investigation
GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Authorities in George County have arrested two people following an investigation into the transfer of controlled substances.
According to the George County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, working in conjunction with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, Christopher L. Williams, 49, and Dalton W. Turner, 35, were both taken into custody. Each has been charged with Transfer of a Controlled Substance.
After their initial court appearance before Justice Court Judge Marty Davis, both men were issued $30,000 commercial bonds.
Officials say the investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges could be filed.
