Gulfport Police today have charged two men with aggravated assault in connection with a call about a drive-by shooting on Vixen Loop.

Police charged 29-year-old Antonio Jerrod Coleman with two counts of aggravated assault, and 44-year-old Willard Fairley Jr. with one count of aggravated assault and one count of shooting into an occupied dwelling.

Officers were sent to Vixen Loop about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday about a possible drive-by shooting. Once on scene, officers found several shell casings.

Detectives learned about a previous physical altercation between two juveniles, after which Fairley traveled to Coleman’s home and fired multiple times in his direction, striking the residence. Coleman said he then returned fire in Fairley’s direction, striking his vehicle.

Coleman and Fairley were taken to the Harrison County jail. Coleman has a $500,000 bond and Fairley’s is $300,000. Both men are convicted felons. Coleman also has a hold placed on him for an aggravated assault domestic violence charge out of Jackson County.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Gulfport Police at 228-868-5959 or Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers at 877-787-5898.
