Two men charged in the August shooting death of Moss Point man

Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with the August 6 shooting death of a Moss Point man.

Moss Point Police Chief Brandon Ashley said 30-year-old Ronald Polk Jr., of Moss Point and 24-year-old Lorenzo Patterson Jr., of Moss Point are both in custody.

On August 6, Moss Point Police responded to a call in the 3600 block of Howze Street about 11:30 p.m. and found 43-year-old Dwan Williams had been shot and was dead at the scene.

Polk is charged with capital murder. He was taken into custody by Gulfport Police on Monday and booked by Moss Point. He is in the Jackson County jail and no bond has been set.

Patterson was arrested Saturday in Moss point and charged with accessory after the fact to capital murder. He also is in the Jackson County jail with no bond set.

The investigation is ongoing.
