Two people suffered minor injuries after their vehicle hit the rear of a truck performing maintenance work on Interstate 10 early Friday.
The incident happened near the Long Beach exit in the eastbound lanes. Traffic was shut down for about a half an hour while the injured were taken care of and the accident was cleared.
Mississippi Department of Transportation had contracted work crews on several areas of I-10 to perform road maintenance overnight to minimize impact to motorists.
