Two injured in one-vehicle accident on I-10

Two people were injured in a one-vehicle accident overnight on Interstate 10.

Harrison County Fire Rescue, CRTC and Gulfport Fire Department responded to the accident at the 30 mile marker in the westbound lane.

The van left the road and went into the wood line, hitting a tree.

One person was taken by AMR to Singing River Hospital and the other was airlifted to a trauma center in New Orleans.

Harrison County Sheriff’s Office helped with traffic while I-10 was shut down to for a short time.

Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
