TWO IN CUSTODY, ONE SOUGHT IN LONG BEACH HOMICIDE

Two people are in custody and police are searching for one more in Monday night’s homicide in Long Beach.

Long Beach police responded to the shooting on North Lang Avenue around 7:30 Monday night. Police found the victim, 25 year old Deverick Johnson, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.

29 year old Michael Anthony Taylor of Long Beach and 29 year old Charity Roxanne McDowell of Gulfport are both charged with accessory after the fact to murder. Both are being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center on a $150,000 bond.

Meantime, police are searching for 28 year old James Wilson McDowell of Gulfport. He is wanted on a charge of murder and should be considered armed and dangerous. If you have any information regarding his whereabouts you are urged to call the Long Beach Police Department at (228) 863-7292.
