Two in critical condition following shooting in Moss Point

Moss Point police are investigating a shooting that happened late last night in front of Olivet Baptist Church.

According to Chief Brandon Ashley, a report of shots fired came in at 11 last night on Frederick Street and found two victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The two were parked at the church when a suspect or suspects exited a blue older model four door sedan with chrome rims and began firing multiple rounds into the victim’s vehicle.

The suspect or suspects fled the scene before police arrived. Witness Annie Liddell said, “It never happened here before. The woman was sitting right there and she had lost a lot of blood and so they had to rush her to the hospital.”

The victims were transported from Singing River Hospital to the University of Mississippi Medical Center and are listed in critical condition. Anyone with information is urged to contact Moss Point police at 228-475-1711.
