Two count murder indictment

A Jackson County grand jury indicts a Moss Point man for second degree murder on top of another murder charge.
Thirty-four year-old Brandon Colby Smith was charged with the murder of Elizabeth Corene Jones back in January. Jones was found dead at her home on Ridgeland Road in Vancleave as the result of multiple stab wounds and blunt neck injury.
An autopsy revealed Jones was pregnant. Because the victim was pregnant, Smith was charged with an additional second degree murder charge.
Smith had been out on bond and was arrested again Wednesday for the new murder charge.
