Two Coast students named U.S. Presidential Scholars

Two South Mississippi high school students have been named U.S. Presidential Scholars for 2025. 

Alexis Griffith of Long Beach High and Jackson Pearce of Gulfport High are two of the three Mississippi students who made this year’s list.

They join a select group of nearly 9,000 students recognized by the U.S. government since 1964 for their high academic achievement. 

This year, 16 high schoolers across the country were named presidential scholars.
