Two Coast ports receive federal funds
President Trump has signed an appropriations bill into law that earmarks money for two Mississippi Coast ports.
The Fiscal Year 26 Energy and Water Development Bill will send $6.7 million to the Port of Gulfport and $6.5 Million to Port Pascagoula Harbor for future dredging and maintenance projects.
Other projects elsewhere in the state received millions of dollars in funding, including flood control projects in North Mississippi.
Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith helped develop the bill on the Senate Energy and Water Development subcommittee.
