Two charged with stealing vehicle in New Orleans, fleeing in Long Beach

Two men from out of state have been charged in connection to a stolen vehicle out of Louisiana.
Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson said 19-year-old Danny Lumar of Cypress, Texas and 19-year-old Dalton Pierre of Slidell, Louisiana, were each charged with receiving stolen property. In addition, Lumar faces a charge of failure to stop when an officer signals.
Both were taken to the Harrison County jail. Lumar’s bond is $200,000 and Pierre’s bond is $100,000.
Peterson said deputies responded this morning about 7:44 a.m. about a Santa Fe stolen in New Orlans that was eastbound on I-10 near the Long Beach exit. When the vehicle left the interstate at Beatline Road, deputies tried to pull over the vehicle.
The suspects fled at high rates of speed. the vehicle was disabled with stop sticks on Railroad STreet. Both suspects fled on foot and were taken into custody near the crash site. No injuries were reported.
