Two charged with child abuse in baby’s death
A Biloxi couple are charged with felony child abuse in the death of a 5-month-old child.
police say 20-year-old Summer Rose Hill and 21-year-old Takavian Keivon Gibbs brought the baby to the Merit Health Hospital about 12:51 p.m. Thursday.
The baby was dead and hospital staff told officers the baby had injuries consistent with child abuse
Hill and Gibbs were both arrested and charged with felony child abuse. Bond was set at $500,000 bond for each.
The death investigation is ongoing, with the potential for additional charges.
